Workplace Hazardous Material Information System is a nation-wide, mandatory system put into place federally and provincially. The purpose is to protect employees by supplying right-to-know information that assists workers and employers to understand and identify risks posed by hazardous materials found in their workplace. The new Globally Harmonized System will also be reviewed this will start replacing WHMIS in June 2015. This course covers worker education, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and workplace labeling. This course is usually offered the same day as TDG for convenience of customers. The certification is valid for 3 years.
